FIELD: material analysis. SUBSTANCE: method involves boring a hole in cylindric specimen of material along its central axis, the hole length being equal to 10-90% of specimen length. The specimen end faces are coated with fluid-impermeable composition. The external surface of the specimen is brought in contact with sodium chloride water solution. The internal surface of the central hole is brought in contact with distilled water. Anode electrode is placed into water and cathode electrode is placed into the sodium chloride water solution. Electric current is brought through at constant voltage and current strength dependence on time is recorded until current strength stabilization takes place. The value of effective radial permeability K is calculated from a formula. The electrodes are cylindric in shape, have length equal to that of the central hole and are placed concentrically relative to specimen axis. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of measurements. 2 cl, 1 dwg
