SUBSTANCE: plant fringing insulation paper tape includes base, two disc milling cutters which axes are parallel to axis of movement of tape, two immobile knives, mechanism to control distance between milling cutters, reel-up and reel-out coils, drive of two milling cutters and of reel-up coil, pressing roller, Plant is inserted with roll mounted in parallel to pressing roller and in one plane with roller and friction clutch installed in circuit of drive of reel-up coil which ensures constant speed of tape independent of amount of tape of reel-up coil. Drive between driving and driven milling cutters is built with transmission ratio 1:1 in the form of two belt transmissions and two gear wheels put on two levers hinged at angle relative to each other. Angle between levers change with change of distance between milling cutters (width of machined tape). Drive of roll is manufactured in the form of friction variable-speed drive. Rotational speed of roll varies due to change of position of driving roller which means that spacing of fringe cutting changes. EFFECT: increased quality of fringing thanks to enhanced precision of spacing of cutting and shortness of interaction of knife with tape, simplified design of plant and reduced labour input for transfer to cutting of tapes of different width. 4 cl, 2 dwg
