FIELD: agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: soil ripper comprises a frame-mounted power plant, wheels, working tool and control handles. The working tool is a single- or double-thread auger rigidly mounted on a shaft at a pitch linearly increasing from the beginning. External cutting edges of the auger in the upper part of the working tool and the points of ridge-like ripping members in its rear part are disposed on conical surfaces with the cone bases facing each other. The ridge-like ripping members are made on the external edge of the auger in the form of inclined teeth, bent off at an angle of 10-15 deg. The tooth points face against the direction of auger rotation. The working tools are replaceable and their type can be selected to suit the various kinds of soil. EFFECT: improved design. 2 cl, 5 dwg
