FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: multistrand crystallizer for continuous casting of square billets has strands, being mutually connected along their whole length by slits for flowing metal. The strands are arranged by a staggered fashion in two rows with a shift of axis, equal to (0.9-1.1) of the strand side. The strands are mutually joined along their ribs of sides of the strands, turned one to another.
