FIELD: metallurgy, more specifically, methods of continuous casting of billets in two-roll mold. SUBSTANCE: method includes supply of melt to two-roll mold in two strands with direction of flows to surfaces of horizontal rolls, molding of melt in rolls and rolling of melt into strip. Flows of melt in interroll gap at depth of 0.01-0.05 height of liquid bath is directed at an angle of minus 20 to plus 25 deg to surface of melt bath, and surface of melt is protected with a layer of slag. Sections of solidified melt on both sides of billet are subjected to rolling into strip. Melt is supplied by separate pairs of strands for each billet or common for 2-4 billets by pairs of stands. In so doing, in the first case, strands may be slotted. EFFECT: higher quality of billets surface due to maximum killing of kinetic energy of supplied melt and preservation of slag in liquid state on melt surface. 4 cl
