FIELD: ammunition. SUBSTANCE: bullet includes metal jacket 1, lead core 2 placed to form free space in head part of bullet close to its vertex having length equal to 0.7 length of head part. Annular grooves are made in head part of jacket at distance 0.2-0.5 of its length. Minimal thickness of kacket in zone of groove equals 0.1-0.5 average thickness of jacket on leading part. Annular grooves can be made both in inner surface 3 of jacket and in outer surface 4 or simultaneously with formation of partition 5 which thickness amounts to 0.1-0.5 thickness of jacket. Bottoms of grooves are so aligned to surface of jacket as not to hinder cutting of partition while bullet functions. EFFECT: improved shooting accuracy at medium and long distances. 2 cl, 6 dwg
