FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: method involves determining fructose content in plant tissue before and after freezing-through in freezing chamber to critical temperatures, with annual plant buds of relative dormant period being used as plant tissue; evaluating frost resistance by comparing fructose content value after freezing- through process with that before freezing-through process, with sorts of fruit cultures having fructose content ratio below 1.35 being referred to as frost- resistant. EFFECT: increased efficiency, simplified process and reliable results of test. 1 tbl
