FIELD: agriculture and forestry.
SUBSTANCE: method involves providing freezing-through of plant tissues at temperature continuously elevated from -90 C to -70 C; simultaneously measuring value characterizing their state; exciting characteristic torsional damped vibrations and measuring dynamic shear module; plotting curve of dependence of dynamic shear module on temperature, with temperature corresponding to the region of maximum quick reduction of dynamic shear module value being considered as frost resistance threshold and said value being determined as minimal temperature dependence of first temperature derivative of dynamic shear module, or as point corresponding to zero value of its second temperature derivative.
EFFECT: accelerated, reliable and precise evaluation of critical frost resistance temperature and criterion of physical activity of lignified plant tissue of fruit crops.
