METHOD FOR FORMING NIPPLE PROJECTION Russian patent published in 1996 - IPC

FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves cutting a rectangular flap from each edge of the main frame in the vicinity of the nipple. The flap height is equal to that of the nipple to be formed and the flap base is equal to twice the diameter of the nipple to be formed. Each flap is to be notched near the base from both sides inside in parallel to the main wound edge, corresponding in size to the nipple radius. Then each flap is separated from the subcutaneous fat, the free lateral parts are diepithelialized and sewn to each other along the lateral line and both flaps are sewn together with their diepithelialized surfaces turned inside. They are placed inside the nipple projection forming the so called nipple projection key preventing the nipple from its being flattened. EFFECT: stable cosmetic results.
