FIELD: osmium recovery from acid solutions. SUBSTANCE: method for recovery of sodium from acid solutions includes oxidation of osmium in wash sulfuric acid containing chloride ions, and osmium is recovered by sorption from solution with concentration of active chloride of less than 0.5 g/l with the help of polyacryl nitrile fibers containing dithiocarbamate or episulfide, or mercaptobenzothiazole groups. EFFECT: higher efficiency.
