FIELD: organic chemistry. SUBSTANCE: products: 1,4-D-(+)-glucarolactone and 6,3-D-(+)-glucarolactone. Reagent 1: acid potassium salt of D-glucaric acid. Reagent 2: cationite in H+-form. Reaction conditions: in the medium of aqueous 50-80% (by volume) C1-C3-aliphatic alcohol at 25-40 C followed by concentration by evaporation before quantitative separation of C1-C3-aliphatic alcohol, separation of D-glucaric acid by filtration of acid potassium salt of acid precipitated at concentrate alkalinization and isolation of 1,4-isomer by extraction with C4-C5-aliphatic alcohol, and 3,6-isomer is isolated by crystallization from an aqueous layer.
