FIELD: textile and food industry. SUBSTANCE: starch is treated preliminary by urea, the process is carried out within 4-5 h at 80-90 C. Then cooled product is mixed with aqueous solution of hydrogen peroxide, thus prepared mixture is allowed to stand within 1 h at 70 C and then it is cooled. Thus obtained product is treated by phosphorylating agent, the process is carried out within 15-180 min at 150-165 C. Molar ratio of starch, urine, hydrogen peroxide and said phosphorylating agent is 1: (0.026-0.419): (0.001-0.046): (0.026-0.32). Potassium or sodium phosphates are used as mentioned above phosphorylating agent. EFFECT: improves efficiency of method. 2 tbl
