FIELD: nonferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method involves conducting flotation concentration of ground ore till content of sulfides of nonferrous metals and ferric sulfide in ore concentrate reaches 19-20% by weight and of platinum metal - 55-60% by weight, with carbonatite in an amount of 30-32% by weight of burden being used as flux, which, together with ore concentrate, is present in burden; melting burden for matte at 1300-1350 C in inert atmosphere of argon or in low-reducing atmosphere of nitrogen , with iron being retained in matte and being further transferred into solution in the process of leaching matte; pelletizing slag melt; grinding to specific surface of 2500-3000 cm2/g and using as binding Portland cement. EFFECT: reduced loss of nonferrous and noble metals and iron in slags, reduced consumption of flotation reactants and elimination of contamination of exit gases with sulfur dioxide. 2 cl, 2 tbl
