FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: distance between point being measured and between each pair of nearest equidistant points located on either side from it and preset axis is noted, after which additional signal is shaped in form of half sum of distances of points of each pair and all additional signals are clamped. Actual distance between point being measured and preset axis is determined as arithmetical mean of all clamped additional signals and distance to point being measured.
