CONCENTRATED FOOD METER Russian patent published in 1996 - IPC

FIELD: agricultural engineering; food meters. SUBSTANCE: when meter stops opposite to feeding place, signal is sent to receiver of food meter control unit 10 to discharge definite portion of food. Order is sent by control unit 10 to set into operation drive mechanism 3 of screw conveyor 2 which delivers concentrated food into weighing mechanism container 12. With food getting into container 12, torque arises which acts on spiral springs through shaft 11 of container 12, bushing and rollers of cross, overcoming resistance of springs. As a result, container 12 with shaft 11 turns on cross rollers. Simultaneously variable resistor slider turns, changing supply voltage to make it equal to voltage across input of unit 10 through comparator of control unit 10. Voltage across input of unit 10 corresponds to mass of discharged portion of food. When voltages become equal to each other, zero signal formed at comparator output is delivered to unit 10. Then order is sent by unit 10 to switch off drive 3 and energize electromagnet which turns shaft 11 by axle in plane perpendicular to plane of cross turning, and food is discharged from container 12 into trough. Spiral springs 8 return cross into initial position, and unit 10 sends signal to de-energize electromagnet. Spiral spring of resetting mechanism returns shaft 11 with container 12 in initial position. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities. 4 cl, 4 dwg
