FIELD: measuring moisture of regions of dielectric materials, for detection of shape and projection of moisture distribution in warm-house soils sand mineral fertilizers, grain products, etc. SUBSTANCE: method involves preliminary calibration of primary measuring moisture-to-microwave transducer in arid medium, its insertion into region under investigation, and its interaction of said dielectric region with local electromagnetic microwave field generated by dielectric resonator of high Q-factor. This leads to detection of resonant frequency fi and Q-factor Qi of primary transducer and detection of moisture in region under investigation using equation , where Wi is moisture value, k is calibration weight, f0 is calibration value of resonant frequency of primary transducer which interacts with arid medium, fi is resonant frequency of primary transducer which interacts with region under investigation, Q0 is calibration value of Q-factor of primary transducer which interacts with arid medium, Qi Q-factor of primary transducer which interacts with region under investigation.
