FIELD: production of hot rolled strips from low-carbon and low-alloy steels. SUBSTANCE: method, comprises steps of melting steel, determining mass quotae of chemical elements in it, casting steel, heating it, rolling blanks in a rolling mill, before guiding the metal blanks to rolling mill introducing to a computer system values of mass quotae of steel chemical elements, parameters of basic technology, including temperature of rolling process termination and of coiling strips, values of desirable mechanical properties of steel; determining with use of a mathematical model of the process of the steel structure and its properties formation proposed values of its mechanical properties; at a case of disagreement setting temperature of the rolling process termination and temperature of strip coiling with use of the computer system by computing experiment in such a way, that to provide dimension of grains ferrite being no more than a minimum value of three values, depending upon yielding strength, temporary resistance, temperature fragibility, determined according to normalized relations. EFFECT: production of strips, having physical properties, had been set by clients due to using such rolling process schedules of a given lot of blanks that provide formation of necessary structure of steel and its desirable properties. 1 cl, 1 tbl
