FIELD: mechanical engineering, instrumentation engineering, shipbuilding. SUBSTANCE: process refers to protection of alloys of titanium and aluminium against atmospheric and electrochemical corrosion and to giving them high decorative appearances. Coat is deposited under conditions of microarc discharges on surface of article in galvanostatic mode with current density 5-15 A/sq.dm in the course of 5-15 min in aqueous solution containing sodium hexamethaphosphate 20-50 g/l and sodium or ammonia methavanadate 10-25 g/l at pH value 3-8. Films are manufactured on aluminium and its alloys with voltage 140- 220 V and on titanium and its alloys with voltage 110-150 V. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of process. 3 cl, 1 tbl
