FIELD: locking device making. SUBSTANCE: locking device has blocking cylinder and a key with guiding crosswise made on back part of key tail, and shaped lengthwise ribs placed on wide side and provided for interaction to grooves of blocking cylinder passage. Recesses are originated across shaped lengthwise ribs that originate from one narrow edge of key tail part and which depth corresponds to change pith of cylinder pin length (x). At least lower lateral rib side facing narrow edge of key tail is perpendicular to lengthwise central plane of the tail, and spacing between lower lateral rib sides is the same. Spacing between lower lateral sides of the ribs corresponds to unit (x) or multiplied (x). The deepest points of the recesses are at the level of lower lateral ribs with shape of those smoothly varied into curvilinear end surfaces of convex shape, that in turn change their shape into upper lateral surfaces of the ribs.
