FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: cylindrical lock comprises a body, a cylinder and locking pins. The locking pins include body pins and cylinder pins. The cylinder pins are formed on the end that enters the channel for the key in the form of reading ledges. The reading ledges are narrower compared to the pin diametre. The reading ledges are oriented in the longitudinal direction of the key channel. At least two pins of the cylinder pin have differing reading ledges. The differing ledges are arranged either in the centre along the longitudinal central plane of the key channel or with a shift to the left or right parallel to it. The flat key for the cylinder lock has cuts of various depth and control paths. The control paths are arranged on flat sides of the key. The cuts are arranged at narrow sides of the key and are narrower compared to the narrow side of the key. At least two cuts are arranged with a difference from each other either in the centre along the longitudinal central plane of the key channel or with a shift to the left or right parallel to it.

EFFECT: high reliability of locking and increased variability of the lock, simplicity and cost-efficiency of making a key for it.
