METHOD OF PROLONGED ANTISTRESS THERAPY IN SURGERY PATIENTS Russian patent published in 1996 - IPC

FIELD: medicine, surgery. SUBSTANCE: method involves the use of narcotic analgetics - 1% promedol 1.0-2.0 ml, 0.005% phentanyl 1.0-2.0 ml in 20 min; vagolytic - 0.1% atropine 0.5-1.0 ml; antihistaminic preparation - 1% dimedrol 0.5-1.5 ml; small tranquilizer - 0.5% relanium, seduxen 0.5-1.5 ml; barbiturate - 1% sodium thiopental 300-400 mg; myorelaxants - 2% dithyline 5-10 ml, arduane 2-4 mg; lower oxide-oxygen mixture (2:1). At preoperational period the following drugs were injected by intramuscular route: ganglioblocking agent - 5% pentamine 0.5-1.0 ml, alpha-adrenolytic - 1% pyrroxane 0.5-1.0 ml and beta-adrenolytic - 0.1% obsidan 0.5-1.0 ml; during operation, by drops: alpha-adrenolytic - 1% pyrroxane 0.5-1.0 ml, ganglioblocking agent - pentamine by fractional route, by 5-15 mg at the toral dose 1-1.5 mg/kg; after surgery for 5-7 days: 5% pentamine - 4 intramuscular injections, by 0.5-1.0 ml, 1% pyrroxane - 3 times, by 0.5-1.0 ml, and 0.1% obsidan, 3 times, by 0.5-1.0 ml. EFFECT: improved method of therapy.
