FIELD: metallurgy, particular, horizontal continuous casting of mineral and alloys. SUBSTANCE: method for horizontal continuous casting includes supply of liquid metal from holding furnace to mold, measurement of metal temperature in holding furnace at the wall opposite to the mold by thermocouple, and at the mold metal inlet by thermocouple. If temperature difference exceeds 10 C, the working rate of casting drawing from the mold is reduced by 0.1 m/min per every 10 C of indicated difference. At the mold inlet, the metal temperature is measured after filling of holding furnace with metal in case of metal temperature in it changed by every 10 C, and also after supply of the next metal portion to holding furnace.
