FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy. Proposed method comprises feeding the metal from teeming ladle into pony ladle and, further, via dipped ladle nozzle into peripheral and central casting moulds to form continuously-cast castings to be drawn from moulds and cooled in secondary cooling zone. Drawing rate at peripheral casing moulds exceeds that at central moulds by 0.2-0.3 m/min depending upon metal overheating above liquidus temperature in area of metal feed into peripheral moulds. In case metal overheating temperature in pony ladle in area of metal feed into peripheral moulds by 2-5°C compared with that of metal feed into central moulds rate drawing from peripheral moulds is increased by 0.1 m/min.
EFFECT: higher quality and yield, higher efficiency continuous casting machines.
