FIELD: technology of inorganic compounds. SUBSTANCE: rice husk is washed with water and/or mineral acid solution, then carbonized in air at 120-500 C and obtained ash is ground and subjected for oxidative calcination under condition of "boiling layer" at 500-800 C. Obtained amorphous silicon dioxide has specific surface up to 370 m.sq/g at the content of basic substance up to 99.99%.
