FIELD: hydraulic power engineering. SUBSTANCE: power plant has coast base provided with an electric generator, alternative level chamber with gates for flowing water, float mounted inside the chamber, and mechanism for converting reciprocation of the float into rotation of the shaft of the electric generator. The mechanism comprises units and flexible link. The plant is provided with a grid cylindric housing mounted inside the chamber. The float is a hollow cylinder and positioned inside the housing. The chamber is a conical passageway of the water collector. The gates are valves to which plates are pivotally connected. The rotation of the pates is arrested. The plates are set in the passageway walls. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 3 dwg
