FIELD: electrical, instrumentation and radio engineering. SUBSTANCE: process refers to manufacture of contact units for commutation of low-power electric signals. Process includes manufacture of both elements of contact pair from one and the same alloy based on noble metals, preliminary mechanical working to obtain finish of surfaces of elements not below 7-th class of roughness, thermal treatment at temperature of transition of alloy into ordered state and adjustment of contact pressure to value of mechanical stresses in contact zone which does not exceed limit of elasticity of alloy. Binary and multicomponent alloys carrying binary ordered matrix doped with components effecting temperature of transition of alloy into ordered state and/or components with limited solubility in one or both components of matrix are used in the capacity of mentioned alloy. Thermal treatment is conducted within temperature range at which ordering and decomposition of oversaturated solid solution undergo at the same time. EFFECT: enhanced wear resistance and increased reliability of contacting. 2 cl, 1 tbl
