FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to non-ferrous metallurgy, namely to method of changing structure of ordering alloy gold-copper, ZlM-80, and can be used in instrument-making, for example, in production of low-current sliding contacts. Method of thermal treatment of contact pair from gold-copper alloy ZlM-80 for electric low-current sliding contacts includes heating in protective atmosphere of contact pair consisting of ring and brush, with rate of not more than 0.2 deg/s to temperature of 400–550 °C, holding for not more than 1 hour, slow cooling at a rate of not more than 0.2 deg/s to temperature of 240–260 °C, holding at this temperature for at least 1 hour, reheating to 300-350 °C at a rate of not more than 0.2 deg/s, holding at this temperature for at least 1 hour, and then cooling the contact pair to room temperature.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at shorter duration of thermal treatment due to preliminary recrystallisation of initial deformed alloy ZlM-80, and reduced specific electric resistance of alloy ZlM-80 due to formation of ordered phase CuAuI in it.
