FIELD: railway transport; diesel locomotives with electric transmissions. SUBSTANCE: device has circuit of series-connected diode and capacitor placed in parallel with contactor coil, contacts of diesel locomotive electric transmission protection and control elements, transformer rectifier, dc/ac voltage converter and voltage relay with make contact. Input of transformer rectifier is connected with ac voltage source, and output and voltage relay coil are connected in parallel with capacitor. Voltage relay make contact is placed in series with protection contactor coil supply circuit. Polarity of voltage at transformer rectifier output does not coincide with diode conducting voltage. AC voltage source is made in form of dc/ac voltage converter whose input is connected to control voltage generator and output is connected to input of transformer rectifier.
