FIELD: electrochemical machining of metals, in particular, methods of thick-layered anodizing of flat aluminium products; can be used for production of hard aluminium oxide plates as substrates in manufacture of elements of electronic equipment. SUBSTANCE: the method of thick-layered anodizing consists in machining when pulse current is applied at a temperature of 8 to 12 C, anode current density of 1 to 1.5 A/sq.cm in electrolyte containing, g/l: oxalic acid - 20 to 25; boric acid - 6 to 8; magnesium sulfate - 5 to 7; borax - 5 to 7; pulse current is applied in the anode period, and anodizing of products is accomplished simultaneously on two sides.
