FIELD: civil engineering. SUBSTANCE: pioneer prism of the material permeable to water is built nearby foot of water-side landslide slope and along it that is spaced from the surface of the water-side slope. Then lengthwise vertical drain slots are arranged in the landslide mass. For the purpose of this a number of wells is drilled in the mass. Explosive charged are seated in the wells. Then the charged are fired concurrently to form commuflet spaces or sections of continuous fracturing forming drain slot. By firing the charges water-side slope is shocked. Shock intensity is equal to or exceed seismic shocks, and provides landslide motion to form ground stop between the mass and pioneer prism. Then character and magnitude of the landslide shift are analyzed, and stability margin of the stabilized mass is determined on the basis of it. EFFECT: protection from landslides. 3 dwg
