FIELD: superheating of saturated steam in heat exchangers. SUBSTANCE: heat exchanger has heat-insulated shell with branch pipes feeding and discharging the agent being heated; arranged in shell are tubular electric heating elements with current output leads 8 brought out to cooling chamber adjoining the shell. Output leads 8 of electric heaters are secured in walls 5 of shell by means of pipe union 6, nipple 13 and union nut 15. Fitted on each output lead 8 of electric heater between union nut 15 and nipple 13 is thrust ring 14. Nipple 13 is made in form of barrel-shaped thin-walled bush. Surfaces of pipe union 6 and ring 14 engageable with barrel-shaped bush are taper in form. Nipple 13 is made from copper and pipe union 6 and thrust ring 14 are made from harder metal, from steel, for example. Their surfaces engageable with nipple 13 are taper in form at taper angle ranging from 30 to 40 deg at pipe union 6 and from 90 to 120 deg at ring 14. Cooling chamber is made in form of vertical exhaust passage with gravitational agitation formed by wall 3 of shell and tightly adjoining duct having holes in its upper and lower portions.
