SEALING DEVICE FOR TEXTILE DRESSING MACHINES Russian patent published in 1994 - IPC

FIELD: textile industry. SUBSTANCE: sealing device has mutually contacting shafts and means, mounted on the textile machine, for sealing the shafts with a sealing member, arranged with a guaranteed gap relative to the shafts, and with a slot for passing the textile material. The device is provided by a system for sustaining a continuous gap between the shafts and the sealing member at change of a pressure drop, being sustained. The system for keeping the continuous gap includes a pressure drop pickup, connected by pipelines with cavities before and after the sealing device, a booster and actuating mechanisms, joined with jackets of the shafts. The actuating mechanisms are oriented in planes of the shaft axis paralleled with a plane of the textile material movement in the above mentioned slot. The shafts are provided by rigid axles, supporting the actuating mechanisms of the system for sustaining the continuous gap, the mechanisms are in the form of hydraulic power members, on which rolling bearing assemblies, distributed along the width of the of the shaft inside of its jacket, are mounted. The device provides keeping of the continuous, uniform by width and minimum gap between the shafts and the sealing member independently upon a working width of the device.
