FIELD: testing equipment. SUBSTANCE: article is filled with testing gas to specified pressure and calibrated flow of testing gas is simultaneously supplied into chamber, concentrations of testing gas from calibrated flow and from article are measured, supply of calibrated flow into chamber is stopped, concentration of testing gas in chamber from article is measured, testing gas is removed from article, residual concentration of testing gas in chamber is measured and by degree of decrease of concentration of testing gas in chamber and by degree of decrease of concentration of testing gas from article with allowance for degree of decrease of concentration of testing gas from calibrated flow one determines value of loss of tightness of article. EFFECT: increased precision of test of tightness of articles of space technology.
