BED TO TEST SHAFT FOR FATIGUE WITH FRETTING CORROSION Russian patent published in 1996 - IPC

FIELD: testing of materials. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of testing of materials for wear in fixed joint and for determination of effect of fretting corrosion for fatigue strength of shaft. Bed for this test has base with cross-pieces spring-loaded relative to it which are manufactured in the form of horizontal shelves joined by vertical columns and provided with supports to mount tested shaft, electric motors with exciters of bending and twisting vibrations located on ends of cross-pieces, two mechanisms of flexible resistance to bending and twisting vibration and transducers of test parameters. Each mechanism of flexible resistance to bending vibrations is manufactured in the form of forks and sets of springs placed between shelves of cross-pieces connected to their columns which ends are attached to supports of forks. Each mechanism of flexible resistance to twisting vibrations is fabricated in the form of axles mounted between shelves of proper cross-pieces, slider put on axle, main and additional frames and sets of springs anchored between frames. Additional frame is designed for movement of slider over it and is installed inside main one. Kinematic coupling is made in the form of axle placed between shelves of cross-pieces, cam put on axle with the aid of bearing unit, additional axle attached to cam and to columns of cross-pieces and two springs located on ends of axle between cam and proper shelf.
