FIELD: machining. SUBSTANCE: method involves crankpin machining through the width to form constant radius fillets and their transition to fillets with undercutting. Semicircular straps with a damping glue coating are mounted. The straps are fitted along the crankpin width with tension and their ends are made with a profile matching the profile of the adjacent constant radius fillet and their transition to fillets with undercutting. The butts are positioned at points spaced from the zones of stress concentration. The main parameters of the straps are related to nominal size parameters of corresponding crankpins according to relationships presented in the description of the invention.
