FIELD: laser decontamination of surfaces in radioactive zones of nuclear units. SUBSTANCE: pulsing or pulse laser beam is shaped beyond radioactive contamination zone in optical laser; this laser beam is conveyed to zone in direct proximity of mentioned surface and in this zone pulse or pulsing laser beam is amplified by special amplifier whereupon this beam is passed to mentioned surface. Method and device may be used for decontamination of inner surfaces of primary circuit of water-cooled and water-moderated nuclear reactors.
