FIELD: separation of materials. SUBSTANCE: control unit 9 generates a control signal on actuator 10 in response to variations in flow rate of production oxygen upstream of an actuator (pickup 5), volume fraction of oxygen in the controlled cross-section (pickup 6), volume fraction of oxygen in production oxygen (pickup 7), and flow rate of air at the inlet to the plant (pickup 8). One correcting signal is generated by unit 9 in response to a deviation of the volume fraction of oxygen in production oxygen from that of controlled by regulator 13. The other correcting signal is generated by the unit 15 in response to a deflection of the air flow rate to the plant in a time interval caused by time delay unit 16. Both of the correcting signals is fed to adder 14 that controls oxygen volume fraction regulator 12 in controlled cross-section. EFFECT: simplified method and improved design. cl, dwg
