SUBSTANCE: invention relates to recombinant strain of E. coli HB 101 pMK 16 and recombinant plasmid pMK 16 determining degradation of herbicide 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid of this strain. Recombinant plasmid DNA pMK 16 is obtained by cloning DNA fragments of strain Bacillus subtilis BKM B-1742D into vector pBR 322. Strain E. coli is infected with obtained recombinant DNA which acquires capability to carry out biodegradation of 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid.
