FIELD: chemical industry, purification of ammonia waste gasses in production of ammonium nitrate, nitride of boron, other branches of industry. SUBSTANCE: waste gasses stream polluted with ammonia is passing through catalyst of ammonia oxidation in presence of oxygen. Part of stream (no more than its half) is carried off from areas of catalyst layer, distanced from entry in layer by no more than 45 % of catalyst layer length. Purifying gas passage direction is periodically changed for opposite direction. EFFECT: simplification of purification process. 1 dwg, 1 tbl
