FIELD: cleaning effluent gases of industrial enterprises from toxic volatile organic compounds. SUBSTANCE: method includes cyclic impurities in catalyst layer at temperature of below the temperature of beginning of catalytic oxidation of absorbed impurities and at temperature above or equal to temperature of beginning of deep oxidation. In so doing, process is conducted at periodic change of direction of motion of gas reaction mixture through layer. The first stage is accomplished for 10-2500 h and the second stage, for 0.5-5 h. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 5 cl
