FIELD: sewage treatment. SUBSTANCE: charging material is made in the form of cubic blocks with through channels. Novelty is that the material is made of coarsely-porous ceramics and is provided, in addition to central channel, vertical cavities in flats and ribs of block. Sufficient strength and little density of charge and shape of charge make it possible to provide self- carrying structure at mounting. EFFECT: increased oxidizing capacity of charging material and capacity of biofilters, reduced cost of charge owing to use of cheap materials, reduced labour consumption for manufacture and mounting, increased reliability and efficiency of biofilters. 2 dwg
