FIELD: mechanical engineering, in particular, in devices of piston machine air supply systems. SUBSTANCE: the pressure damper of the piston machine suction system has a variable-capacity vessel communicating with pipeline 6 of the piston machine and formed by pipeline rigid walls 4 and movable membrane 3. The variable- capacity vessel communicates with pipeline 6 through the openings in walls 4, and light movable membrane 3 is hermetically suspended from the pipeline walls and connected to a flexible highly pliable member, for example, soft compression spring 1 confined from the top by membrane 3, and from the bottom - by spring lower position restraining arm 5. Membrane 3 is kept near the working equilibrium position due to adjustment of external compression of the flexible member; and for limiting the membrane vibrations provision is made for stops 23, 24 installed from the top of the membrane on the pipeline external wall inside the variable-capacity vessel between the openings in the pipeline, and from the bottom of the membrane. Lower limiting stop 24 of membrane vibrations is rigidly coupled to the pipeline wall; the membrane is connected to the flexible member by means of movable couplers, for example, rods 14 passing through the openings of the lower membrane restraining arm.
