FIELD: oxidation catalysts and methods for their production, applicable in cleaning of industrial effluent gases and combustion of fuels. SUBSTANCE: oxidation catalyst based on oxide with perovskite structure has oxide with perovskite structure containing rare-earth elements or their mixtures and transition elements or their mixtures and aluminum oxide in the amount of 0.4-40.0%. Method for production of the catalyst includes the stage of synthesis of powder perovskites. Powder perovskite is mixed with compounds formed in thermal disintegration of aluminum oxide. Water or aqueous solutions of acids are added to obtain the total moisture content of 15.0-35.0%. Then, catalyst is formed, dried and calcined. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 7 cl, 3 tbl
