FIELD: radiation heating. SUBSTANCE: gaseous-fuel catalytic heater has combustion chamber 1 with rear wall 2 passed through which is combustible gas feeding channel and with built-in front wall formed by porous refractory backing 4 impregnated with oxidizing catalyst. Deflector 1 is passed in front of front wall and annular pipe connection 12 communicating with air feeder is placed around its periphery. Deflector 11 is adjacent to edge of pipe connection 12 which is made between edge of deflector 11 and shaped member 10 built integral with it. Shaped member 10 is mounted around periphery of chamber 1 with aid of intermediate taut struts 9. Loose end of shaped member 10 has seat to receive partition 13 that forms, together with rear wall of combustion chamber 1, supply channel of pipe connection 12. Holes and fastenings for fan 16 are provided in center of partition 13. EFFECT: improved design. 9 cl, 1 dwg
