FIELD: thermoelectric generators operating mainly on liquid organic or gaseous fuel. SUBSTANCE: the heat exchanger is a set of plates made of heat-resistant material, preferably of iron or its alloys alternating with spacers made of high thermal conductivity material, preferably of aluminium or its alloys. The spacers are positioned in a spaced relation to the heat-removing surfaces of the heat exchanger, forming a system of parallel channels between the adjacent plates. The plate thickness-to-spacer thickness ratio is 1:1, 15-1:4. The bracing system is made in the form of studs with threaded ends that carry nuts and disk springs; the braces are positioned in the angular zones of plates. Due to reinforcement of spacers by plates 2, stability of the heat-removing surfaces of the heat exchanger is ensured, when the thermoelectric generator is used in the conditions of multiple thermocycling.
