FIELD: air conditioning in road and underground vehicles. SUBSTANCE: proposed thermoelectric air conditioner has split housing accommodating set of thermoelectric cells, each consisting of thermoelectric module, and radiators with ribs connected to external opposite surfaces of heat exchange plates by means of elastic material of high heat carrying capacity. System of fastening of thermoelectric cells consists of rigid elements with ports for braces and elastic seals made of elastic cold-resistant rubber. Radiators are arranged on elastic support members made in form of U-shaped plates. Control unit has bimetallic temperature pickups. Current reversing unit and automatic control system on microprocessors. Housing is connected to vehicle ceiling by support member with shock absorbers, each provided with coaxially arranged cylindrical bushings with layer of elastic material placed in between. EFFECT: improved operation reliability and increased service life of air conditioner at its weight and cutting down of cost. 12 cl, 5 dwg
