FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: method involves planting seedlings in vegetative pots; upon initial fruit bearing phase, drawing lower part of stem into soil for a length not exceeding 0.7 of distance between surface layer and tomato top by pulling plant root through bottom openings of pot; providing cyclic repeating of operation upon growing of stem for a value not less than stem length drawn into soil during previous cycle; removing root lower part having length equal to drawn part of stem in 10-14 days upon drawing of stem lower part into soil.
