FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: radial sealing device has sealing plate fitted for radial travel in piston slot and articulated mechanism installed inside piston. Articulated mechanism consists of two parts hinge-coupled with corresponding ends of sealing plate and has bell cranks, connecting rod and weight. Mechanism has also additional weight and slider with guides installed in piston. Groove with flat side walls is made in rotor. Resilient sealing plate can change its shape in radial plane for mating by its outer surface with surface of operating cylinder, by inner and side surfaces, with surface of slot in piston, and by side surfaces, with side walls of rotor groove. Bell crank of first portion of articulated mechanism is rigidly connected by one arm with one of weights, and by other arm, with sealing plate. Second bell crank of second portion of articulated mechanism is rigidly connected by one arm with weight, and by other arm is hinge-coupled with sealing plate through connecting rod and slider hinge-connected in series. Sealing device can be furnished with rocking support, with second portion of articulated mechanism being hinge-mounted on rocking support. Sealing plate can be made of memorized shape-effect material or of bimetallic material. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of sealing. 5 cl, 2 dwg
