FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: rotary piston engine has fixed housing with three-sided working chamber in form of constant width figure formed with relation of radii of conjugate arcs complying with the following condition: where M is overall width over edges of sealing members installed on rotor-piston end faces; R is larger radius of conjugate arc; r is smaller radius of conjugate arc; D is diameter of circle described around vent channels of end face cover; is crankshaft eccentricity. It has axially symmetric rotor-piston with cylindrical surfaces of heads, arranged in working chamber and installed on output crankshaft by means of slider placed in longitudinal slot of rotor-piston. Engine has also drive mechanism with two pairs of rollers installed on rotor-piston end faces coaxially with cylindrical surfaces of heads and engaging with working cylindrical surfaces of sectors made integral with crankshaft. Engine timing mechanism is made in form of two ports found in walls of working chamber housing near one of its tops located opposite to side with ignition source (nozzle or spark plug). Engine sealing system includes rotor-piston sealing consisting of plates arranged in top of rotor-piston heads, sealing members arranged on end faces of rotor-piston and fixed sealing of working chamber formed by end face covers. End face covers with holes in center to let out gas or oil leaks are stationary mounted on end faces of working chamber housing. Flywheel and fan impeller with commensurable masses are installed on opposite ends of crankshaft to provide passing through dead center. EFFECT: provision of reliable rotary piston engine featuring maximum power output at best mass and dimensional characteristics, simple in design and easy to manufacture. 9 dwg
