FIELD: monitoring the spatial position of the axis of cased well in oil and gas production. SUBSTANCE: method for determination of wellbore inclination and direction of cased well includes centering and stabilization of downhole instrument prior to lowering into well to prevent its azimuth turning by means of spring-loaded members located on the surface of inclinometer body to form contact of spring-loaded members with internal surface of pipes. Size of inclinometer body along the pipe axis is as large as possible. The position of the body of inclinometer downhole instrument stabilized in azimuth is taken as the reference point of well azimuth location. Transducer of azimuth angle is used in form of transducer of angle of turn of the body of inclinometer round its longitudinal axis. Prior to lowering into well, azimuth reading of transducer of the angle of turn of the inclinometer body is registered. The value of azimuth in the process of lowering is determined by measuring the angle of turn of the body of inclinometer downhole instrument round its longitudinal axis as well axis azimuth changes.
